Tegal, August 1, 2024 – In an effort to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students with the spirit of “Build the Soul and the Body,” Dr. Nasrudin, S.Ag., M.MPd, Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Tegal City, delivered a lecture on the dangers of drug abuse at SMP At Tin Margasari. The event, which took place on Thursday, August 1, 2024, was themed “Protecting Yourself from Drug Abuse.”
This lecture is part of the school’s project to build strong, Pancasila-oriented character among its students. Dr. Nasrudin, donning the distinctive blue BNN uniform, spoke passionately before the enthusiastic students. In his presentation, he emphasized the importance of safeguarding both mental and physical health from the growing threat of narcotics.
“Through this activity, we hope to raise students’ awareness about the dangers of drugs and the critical role they play in creating a drug-free environment,” stated Dr. Nasrudin.
The content of the lecture included an introduction to various types of narcotics, their harmful effects, and effective ways to avoid the temptations and traps of drug abuse. He also highlighted the crucial support of family and school environments in combating drug abuse.
The event was attended not only by the students but also by numerous teachers and school staff. Alvin Qodri Lazuardy, M.Pd the Head of SMP At Tin UMP Margasari, in his remarks, expressed high appreciation for BNN Tegal City’s dedication to the education and well-being of the students.
“We are very grateful to Dr. Nasrudin and the BNN Tegal City team for taking the time to share their valuable knowledge and experiences. In today’s era, young people often seek instant and illusory happiness by altering their physical states with illegal drugs. This must be avoided and prevented early on to cultivate a drug-free generation. We believe this activity will have a positive impact on our students,” said Alvin Qodri Lazuardy, M.Pd
The session concluded with a group photo and a token of appreciation from the school to Dr. Nasrudin.
With activities like these, it is hoped that students will better understand the importance of protecting themselves from the negative influences of drugs and become change agents who can encourage their peers to live healthy and productive lives.
